Map & Move believes that travel can create lasting change in peoples’ lives. The mission is to create transformative experiences that connect people to themselves, each other, and the world. Small group trips and bucket list experiences bring purpose-driven and adventurous people together around the world. These transformative experiences for conscious travelers have attracted 1,000+ digital nomads who love travel and are active members in the Map & Move Facebook group. They aim to move with intention, play with purpose, and bring positive change where we can.
Amanda attended several NY-based Map & Move meetups including picnics and potluck brunches and dinners. From upstate NY, to the Poconos, and a long road trip to Montreal, Amanda has swung through treetop ropes courses, gone on long bike rides, hikes, and road trips with the Map & Move crew. She has been an invaluable help and partner when it comes to promoting events and upcoming trips, giving advice on solo backpacking trips or tips & tricks for international trips, and co-partners with the Map & Move team to produce immersive experiences and engaging programming during their trips.
Most recently, Amanda was tapped to lead a contingent of volunteers for the Map & Move and Personal Development Nerds Summer Camp in October 2019. She advised the team as a producer and community builder and masterminded a camp-wide game within a game for attendees that was part gameshow, part scavenger hunt, and part Mafia/Assassin to the delight and surprise of camp attendees who were initiated on the first night of Summer Camp. Attendees had to compete team vs. team, working in tandem to get points via running through the camp’s tree top ropes course, completing dares, answering trivia questions, and strategizing around double agents planted within each team.
