TOUCHPOINT

Ever curious, Amanda and several fellow Sofar Sounds NYC ambassadors attended a Touchpoint Town Hall and fell in love with the community of storytellers, people sharing their experiences with modern love, sex, and romance and the challenges that come with navigating relationships with yourself and others. To date, over 3,000+ people have attended a Town Hall, with each gathering drawing an average of 75 people.

Founded by Jared Matthew Weiss, Amanda was asked to help set the vibes to get people checked in and introduce them to each other. Within a couple months of starting as an attendee, she became a Touchpoint Producer, helping promote the monthly events, recruit artists to kick off and close out, the evening with a capella performances, and manage the team of volunteers from March 2018 - February 2019.

Amanda also stepped up to help revamp Touchpoint’s branding and took lead on capturing photos and producing content, including numerous cinemagraphs for Instagram. She spearheaded Touchpoint’s social media strategy for Instagram and was a valuable resource in growing and engaging the Touchpoint audience in NYC and beyond as Touchpoint shifted into a podcast format showcasing people’s stories and experiences.
