The last few years, Amanda has helped Jelena Aleksich, the founder of The Confetti Project, launch pop-up activations and helped manage the flow of attendees at TCP’s Open Studios in NYC, LA, and Bethesda in partnership with numerous brands like Artists & Fleas, ULTA Beauty, Wolf & Badger, and Bergdorf Goodman which have drawn hundreds of people and captured hundreds upon hundreds of stories of celebration. Jelena profiled Amanda in the Fall of 2014 along with 100+ other creatives and highlighted how Amanda celebrates stories — of adventure, of connections with her friends/families/strangers, of the passage and flow of time.
Over the years as The Confetti Project has grown and profiled hundreds of other human beings, Amanda has been a strong advocate for all Jelena sets out to do and always aims to be a valuable point of connection by introducing Jelena to potential partners and helping with sponsorship outreach. Amanda was 1 of 6 friends handpicked to help Jelena launch her first pop-up activation with Artists & Fleas in Williamsburg in May 2017 and served as a Volunteer Lead and on-site manager at the second Artists & Fleas in SOHO in the October 2017. She also spearheaded introductions to the NY manager of London-based retailer Wolf & Badger and tapped as a Producer and on-site manager at the first The Confetti Project activation with out Jelena on-site, with a new TCP photographer for a partnership with ULTA Beauty in August 2018.
When Jelena launched the project internationally for the firs time in January 2018 in partnership with Sauce Boutique (to launch their new loyalty program), the Dubai Shopping Festival, and the Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Amanda was asked to accompany Jelena to Dubai. While in Dubai, Amanda worked side-by-side with Jelena as an executive producer and event designer, filming and editing a recap video of the trip and assisting with shoots for dozens of Dubai influencers like Fouz, Rosemin Manji, Kat Lebrasse, Deema Alasadi, Ruth Bradley, Rim Idriss, Rhea Jacobs, and Alanoud Badr in home gardens, on private beaches, and around the Dubai Design District (D3). Evenings were spent designing and leading the Sauce team in the construction of several large-scale custom, confetti-themed installations for the launch of their new oyalty program at the Sauce flagship store in the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world. Over the course of a week, Jelena photographed 100+ human beings between editing sprints and the duo doused Dubai in confetti.
Amanda is currently working with Jelena in partnership with Federal Realty to launch TCP’s first Open Studios in the Greater D.C. area with a 4-day residency at Bethesda Row in November 2019.
