When Amanda first moved to NYC she was terrible at sitting still and watching Netflix on the weekend. She ventured off to concerts and events solo and came across some awesome experiences put on by several different communities. With a packed calendar of events to attend, she always had a recommendation handy for anyone who was bored or lonely in NY.
Amanda was tapped to write for Nooklyn’s online publication to cover events happening around NY. She wrote in-depth profiles of some incredibly inspiring humans for Nooklyn’s Bad Ass Women series. She recapped events across the five boroughs, whether she was working an event as a volunteer, running the show as a producer, or enjoying the event as an attendee. Amanda kept busy capturing content for Nooklyn’s social media accounts, shooting photos, and . writing various articles for Nooklyn’s Events column.
Amanda worked with the Nooklyn team to launch and establish protocols for real-time event coverage of gatherings like Groundshift and gave Nooklyn’s audience a unique glimpse behind the scenes from the Bushwick Collective Block Party.
