After Alana became a speaker for Amanda’s “Make It Make Cents: A Finance & Investing Workshop” in December 2020, she and Amanda continued to bond over the importance of financial education and empowerment for women and non-binary individuals. Both were particularly keen to build and diversify their portfolios and even make their first angel investment or pitch to VCs and investors.
Alana and Amanda discussed Alana’s ideas for Eve. They scaled Eve Wealth from a circle of 8-10 friends to a community of thousands in under 2 years.
As Head of Community and then as Chief Community Officer, Amanda:
Produced first 2 Eve Wealthverse Summits featuring 50+ female speakers with 3.5k attendees (moderator)
Grew Eve from 0 to 10,000+ members (growth marketing)
Launched 15 Eve Circle cohorts (moderator/co-host)
Co-designed and launched the 1st DeFi fintech course for women (course materials and marketing campains)
Launched the “Women, Wealth, & Web3” podcast (logistics producer)
Launched the “Wealth Wednesday” LinkedIn newsletter (which Alana has continued to evolve post-Eve as “Friday Futures”) (editing, marketing)
Produced and hosted numerous members-only events including Angel Investing Pitches, Portfolio Reviews, Fireside Chats, Expert Q&As, Happy Hours, and more (moderator)
Ultimately, Eve Wealth was acquired by one of Eve’s members Strix Leviathan and continues to live on!
As Alana summed things up in one of the Eve community newsletters: “Ultimately, we created an extremely powerful platform with over 10,000 women investors, Wealth Summits that onboarded 3,500 people into web3, $1M+ invested from angel investors, a beta trading app backed by our RIA, the first DeFi course by and for women, and multiple companies and funds co-founded out of our network including CoCreate, VC3, Celestial, and others.”
